Video is for your own use only: Meta is testing Instagram's Reels encryption capabilities

It is known that due to the uncertain situation of TikTok in the United States, Meta has urgently set about improving Instagram and its other apps, probably hoping to provide users with a decent alternative in case of a decision to block TikTok.
Yesterday we reported that the American corporation is working on a Media: Meta is working on a standalone Instagram app for the iPad, although for many years it has refused this idea. Now it has become known that Meta may add an interesting option for fans of Reels.
Here's What We Know
TechCrunch portal discovered that Reels is testing the ability to encrypt individual videos. Apparently, the author of the content will be able to put a password that ensures that the video can be viewed only by trusted individuals who know personal information.
TechCrunch writes:
[The feature will allow] sharing exclusive videos with their most loyal fans, who are more likely to know the answer to the clues. For example, an author can block a clip with the clue "my birthday" or "my dog's name."
Such a secret Reel was published by Meta itself via its Design account:

TechCrunch editors sent a request to Instagram for comment on the news, but there was no response.
