Ford has launched a unique Ford Power Promise in the UK. It is designed to simplify the transition to electric vehicles from cars with internal combustion engines.

Here's What We Know

As part of the "Ford Power Promise" programme, Ford Motor Company will provide new electric car buyers with a wall charger and its installation at no extra cost. Customers will also receive a power bonus of up to 10,000 miles, a five-year maintenance plan, access to more than 33,000 public charging points in the UK and several other bonuses.

A special 'Intelligent Octopus Go' electricity tariff will allow you to charge for 7p/kWh overnight, saving up to 70 per cent compared to regular tariffs. The plan can automatically optimise charging to use cheaper electricity outside of peak periods and lower electricity prices when renewable sources such as wind farms and solar panels are running at maximum capacity. This means that a full charge of the new Puma Gen-E can cost as little as £3.23 (around €3.72).

Ford's offer applies to the entire Blue Oval electric vehicle range: the Explorer, Capri, Puma Gen-E, Mustang Mach-E, E-Tourneo Custom and E-Tourneo Courier.
