Nothing is preparing to launch its new CMF Phone 2 Pro smartphone, which will be unveiled on 28 April alongside new CMF headphones. The company, which usually does not include chargers with its smartphones, decided to change its approach this time. However, there is one caveat: this one will be available only in India.

Here's What We Know

Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis shared a photo of the box of an X-platform smartphone, which clearly shows a slot for a wired charger - a rarity for the company's fans, who are used to buying chargers separately. According to the co-founder, this change will only be available in India, which is similar to OnePlus' strategy of including a charger in the US but not in the UK or Europe. For fans in other regions, this was not a surprise, as it happens quite often in the modern smartphone market.

The specifications of the smartphone have not yet been revealed, but we can assume that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will have a 5000 mAh battery and support for fast charging up to 33W, like its predecessor, the CMF Phone 1 (which currently costs about Rs 14,000 on Amazon). However, we cannot rule out the possibility of improving these parameters.

This step is likely a response to the competitive Indian market, where the presence of a charger in the package can significantly influence the buyer's decision. Along with the announcement of new headphones, this is a strategic move to strengthen the CMF sub-brand's position in the market. Previous teasers have also shown a part of the back of the smartphone with visible screws, which may indicate the presence of a removable back panel, as in the CMF Phone 1 model.
