Bungie Studio has announced that their new PvP extraction shooter game Marathon will be released as a "premium" project, but at a price lower than the standard $70. According to reports, the game will cost $40.
Here's What We Know
Marathon is a sci-fi extraction shooter where teams of players compete for valuable resources and try to survive. The game will be paid, with additional in-game purchases such as cosmetic items and battle passes.
Marathon will be released on 23 September 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. More details about the game will be revealed in the summer.
This pricing approach reflects Sony's strategy for multiplayer games, similar to Helldivers 2, which also costs $40.
