The official infotainment system with Apple CarPlay is now available for the L322 generation Range Rover
Land Rover Classic division of Land Rover has released an update to the infotainment system for the third-generation Range Rover (L322) produced between 2010 and 2012.
Here's What We Know
Venerable Range Rover owners will be able to use wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto using a modernised head unit. It retains the original screen and keys, and gets a special system interface to blend in with the now-defunct model.
Land Rover claims the update retains all the existing features and sound quality of the original audio system, while adding new features. These include music streaming services, podcasts and navigation apps with real-time congestion updates.

Land Rover has not yet disclosed the cost of the upgrade, but says that buyers in the UK and Germany will receive a two-year warranty on the upgrade. A company spokesperson confirmed to Motor1 that Land Rover has no plans to offer such a service in the US.
This isn't the first time the automaker has issued a multimedia system upgrade for older models. For instance, Porsche launched an upgrade programme for the 911, Boxster and Cayenne models in 2022. Unlike Land Rover, however, Porsche is completely replacing the head unit rather than using the original equipment.
