The plot continues to focus on Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsay. After the tragic events of the first season, their relationship has undergone complex changes. They have settled in Jackson, Wyoming, where they are trying to lead a relatively quiet life among other survivors.
However, the ghosts of the past and new threats do not give the characters peace of mind. Ellie, now a teenager, is trying to come to terms with her immunity and the truth that has been hidden from her. The complicated relationship between Joel and Ellie becomes one of the key storylines.
The second season promises to be even more intense and emotional, as it partially covers the events of The Last of Us Part II. Viewers will see new characters, including Abby, whose appearance will dramatically affect the fate of the main characters.
