Spain will produce Ukrainian armoured vehicles "Dzhura" and "Kozak" for the European market
The Spanish company Tecnove has announced the start of licensed production of Ukrainian armoured vehicles Dzhura and Kozak at its facilities in Erencia, La Mancha.
Here's What We Know
Tecnove will manufacture Dzhura and Kozak armoured vehicles for sale on the European market as part of the newly established Human Safe Systems joint venture with the Ukrainian Research and Production Association (RPA) Practika.
The production will be based on Ukrainian technical solutions, without direct supplies of machine kits. Given that Praktika builds armoured vehicles on the basis of production off-road vehicles such as Toyota Land Cruiser or Ford F-550, Tecnove will be able to provide the necessary platform for final assembly.

The company said the aim of the cooperation is to provide the security sector with modern solutions with a high level of performance and protection. The presented armoured vehicles, including the Kozak-5 version, have already been adapted for mass production and meet the basic requirements of the international market.
Although arming the Spanish armed forces seems unlikely due to competition with local URO VAMTAC models, as well as the availability of Iveco LMV and RG-31 Nyala armoured vehicles, the project allows the Ukrainian company to enter EU markets bypassing restrictions on arms exports from Ukraine during the war.
During the full-scale war in Ukraine, Practika armoured vehicles proved to be reliable and functional, so their promotion abroad could strengthen the position of the Ukrainian defence industry in the global context.
