Ukrainian studio GSC Game World has kept its promise and published a rough plan of support for the shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Here's What We Know

The authors promised that every three months gamers will receive new information from them about the development of the game, and so far they told what to expect in the second quarter of 2025.

Developers plan to significantly improve the A-life 2.0 system and make the behaviour of enemies more logical and realistic, people will become more active in using cover and more often use grenades, and mutants will start eating corpse bodies.

IN S.T.A.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will appear two new types of weapons, and on the bodies of killed mutants will remain valuable items that can be picked up.

The authors will fix a number of bugs in the shooter, which they jokingly call "anomalies".

In the next three months, GSC Game World will conduct closed testing of the toolkit for creating custom modifications, and shortly after that will release its beta version. This software suite will offer tutorials, and mods will be integrated into the Mod.IO service and Steam Workshop.

The developers have confirmed that they will release a non-extgen update for the console compilation S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone, and its innovations will appear in the PC-versions of the games of this trilogy.

But at the same time, game designers do not exclude that not everything can go according to their plan and admit that some items will be fulfilled after the second quarter of 2025.
