In addition to the changes in iOS 19, Apple is also planning to significantly update iPadOS this year. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the company is going to make iPadOS more similar to macOS.

"I’m told that this year’s upgrade will focus on productivity, multitasking and app window management — with an eye on the device operating more like a Mac. It’s been a long time coming, with iPad power users pleading with Apple to make the tablet more powerful.".

Ever since Apple started releasing tablets with M-line processors, many users have complained that there is no way to use this performance. Even with the advent of video editing software, the limitations of the operating system do not allow for comfortable use. This is all the more outrageous if we remember that iOS and iPadOS have the macOS kernel.

It's been 4 years since the iPad Pro with Apple's M1 chip appeared, which makes us sceptical about such news. Gurman doesn't give details on what exactly Apple will change, but it's unlikely to be a full-fledged file system, rather just an improved multitasking interface.
