Apple may release a foldable iPhone with a camera under the display

Apple is likely to release its first foldable iPhone next year, and it is expected to cost around $2300. New leaks confirm that the company is testing an under-display camera technology.
Here's What We Know
An insider at Digital Chat Station said that the foldable iPhone will have a 7.76-inch internal display with a resolution of 2712 x 1920 pixels and a camera hidden under the screen. This is not the first time Apple has worked on such technology. Back in 2021, the company patented a camera under the display, and in 2023, there were reports of its development. Now it looks like it will be integrated into the foldable iPhone.
Although the under-display camera technology has not yet reached the level of traditional cameras in terms of quality, it is an important element for hiding the front module while maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the screen. Moreover, as with Samsung, Apple is likely to add an additional selfie camera on the outer screen to avoid blurry pictures.

The leaks also indicate that the outer screen of the foldable iPhone will have a size of 5.49 inches with a resolution of 2088 x 1422 pixels and a camera notch. Thus, users will be able to use both cameras.
In terms of design, Apple may opt for a more compact format, similar to the Oppo Find N2, instead of the tall and narrow Samsung Fold. This will make it easier to use the smartphone with one hand and simplify the process of folding and unfolding the device.
