Ukrainian soldiers destroy North Korean Koksan self-propelled artillery system in Donetsk region
The Muramasa unit of the 109th Territorial Defence Brigade demonstrated the destruction of a Koksan self-propelled artillery system used by the Russians in the Pokrovsk sector.

The Ukrainian military used FPV strike drones to do this, and the target was detected by aerial reconnaissance aircraft of the 414th Brigade of Unmanned Aerial Systems "Birds of Magyars". The released footage shows how the installation was hit by several drones while in a forested area.
This North Korean-made air defence system weighs 40 tonnes and fires rare 170mm shells, with a maximum range of 60km when using active-reactive munitions. It is precisely these systems that North Korea has handed over to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine.
This is not the first time Ukrainian units have destroyed this type of equipment. The first destruction of a North Korean self-propelled artillery system was carried out by the 412th NEMESIS Regiment in Luhansk Oblast, which hit it with a night bomber drone. In March 2025, operators of the 14th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces detected three Koksan units and adjusted artillery fire to destroy them.
Muramasa emphasised that they are working in the area of cover with the help of DYKYIRIZ XL drones from the Sternenko Foundation. They are targeting not only artillery systems, but also enemy vehicles and manpower.
"We continue to work in the frontline with DYKYIRIZ XL drones from the Sternenko Foundation. Self-propelled artillery systems, katsap carriers and a motorcycle are the things that have come under our sights. Revenge for the city of Sumy will be burning," the terrorists wrote.
