The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has officially put a new Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial vehicle, the B-1, into service. These are ultra-light attack drones designed to accurately target manpower, equipment and military targets both on the front line and behind enemy lines.

B-1 drones are equipped with a low-noise, powerful engine and can stay in the air for several hours. They are compatible with various types of ammunition and have increased resistance to electronic warfare. Another important feature is the rapid deployment and retraction of the system, which minimises risks for operators during missions.

Responsibility for the decision to operate the UAV was taken by the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment. B-1 unmanned aerial vehicle UAV photo provided by the manufacturer.
