It has been reported that OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, is working on its own social network. It is claimed that Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has been secretly collecting feedback on this project. Neither the name nor the final concept is known yet. It is also not known whether the social network will offer features of any of the existing ChatGPT models. The company is currently refraining from commenting on this topic.

Context.

Launching its own social network for OpenAI is not only about competing in the media market with Meta or X. OpenAI's own social network can become a huge source of data for AI training, just as X has become for Grok. However, there is one spicy problem: X's owner Elon Musk was once a member of OpenAI, but left the company to develop his own AI, while trying to slow down the work of his former colleagues. Now Musk has become the right-hand man of the US president, and his moral qualities are unlikely to prevent him from "unleashing the dogs" on OpenAI. Such direct competition with X will become safe for OpenAI only after the odious billionaire's rapid fall.
