Yesterday the gamer community got actual proof of the existence of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster, the first rumours about which appeared back in 2023Internal Microsoft documents revealed mention of the development of a new DOOM instalment, Dishonored 3, Fallout 3 and Oblivion remasters, and that's not the whole list of Bethesda projects! (Bethesda's parent company) and Microsoft (2020). It also mentioned a remaster of another famous Bethesda game - Fallout 3, but no substantial information has appeared about this game so far.

Here's What We Know

It is logical that after the leaked screenshots of the updated version of Oblivion, gamers remembered about Fallout 3 and started to ask reputable insiders about the fate of this remaster.

One of the first answers was given by NateTheHate, who has recently distinguished himself with a lot of reliable insiders.

He confirmed that Bethesda is still planning to release a Fallout 3 remaster, but it won't happen soon.

It will be a while before we see it [Fallout 3 remaster].

In general, Bethesda has never been known for its speed of work, so "some time" could stretch on for years, though it would make more sense for them to hurry up given the surge of interest in the franchise amid Amazon's successful series premiere.
