"Give them no mercy!": a spectacular gameplay trailer of the horror game Cronos: The New Dawn from the creators of Silent Hill 2 Remake has been unveiled
Polish studio Bloober Team, which released the excellent Silent Hill 2 remake at the end of 2024, presented a new gameplay trailer of ambitious sci-fi horror Cronos: The New Dawn.
Here's What We Know
Recently the authors revealed that the game was inspired by Dead Space, among others, and it is clearly visible in the footage of Cronos: The New Dawn. The protagonist, like Isaac Clarke, is dressed in a heavy suit, has a limited supply of weapons and faces terrible monsters in an uninhabitable environment. Instead of necromorphs, however, Cronos features Orphans. and the narrow corridors of the USG Ishimura spaceship replace the ruins of the Polish city of Krakow, which in the alternate 1980s version was wiped out by a mysterious cataclysm.
Cronos: The New Dawn looks great - it's a really different level for Bloober Team, who made their name on slow, not bad psychological thrillers, but which fail to attract a wide audience, and Cronos clearly shows huge potential.
When We Can Expect It
Unfortunately, no release date for Cronos: The New Dawn has been announced, but the game is expected to be released in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Flashback
According to the plot of Cronos: The New Dawn, in the 80's there was some kind of global catastrophe that almost wiped out humanity and turned some people into creepy creatures called "Orphans".
The main character is a Traveller - a member of a secret organisation whose representatives travel through time and explore the ruins of human civilisation. They search for people valuable to them and move them to their own time to improve the situation in the world.
