Ubisoft patches Assassin's Creed Shadows: new patch with PS5 Pro improvements and bug fixes is now available

Ubisoft has released a fresh update for Assassin's Creed Shadows, aimed at fixing another batch of issues in the game. Patch 1.0.3 is already available for download and, although it is not as extensive as the previous one, players can expect bug fixes and improvements for PlayStation 5 Pro. Interestingly, the update also temporarily deactivates the game's auto-sell feature due to unexpected issues.

Here's What We Know

PS5 Pro owners can rejoice - the patch fixes a graphical issue that occurred when HDR and PSSR were enabled at the same time. For PlayStation 5, we've fixed issues with game crashes.

In terms of download size, the patch is quite compact on PS5 and PC (via Steam), while Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and PC users will have to download a much larger amount of data via the Ubisoft Store. A full list of changes can be found below.

  • Xbox Series X|S: 11 GB
  • PlayStation 5: 0.492 GB
  • PC: 9.03 GB
  • Steam: 0.40 GB
  • Mac: 9 GB

List of fixes:

Gameplay:

  • Deactivated the multi-sale function in stores due to unforeseen issues.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the option to call allies to disappear.

Stability and performance:

  • Fixed freezing issues on PC.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred during the prologue.
  • Fixed graphical distortion of Yasuke's clothes after dodging.
  • Fixed crashes and visual issues with the Dragon's Claw skin when applied to weapons.
  • Note: Visual customisation for this weapon will be re-activated with this update.

Audio:

  • Fixed an issue with audio dropping out.

PS5 and PS5 Pro:

  • Fixed a graphical issue when activating HDR and PSSR on PS5 Pro.
  • Fixed crash issues on PS5.

As a reminder, Assassin's Creed Shadows is the undisputed leader in US sales for the third week in a row.
