Embark Studios expresses unwavering confidence in the longevity of its free-to-play shooter THE FINALS, predicting its active life for the next three to five years.

Here's What We Know

The developers are aware of the ongoing challenges faced by service games, but remain committed to maintaining and growing their player base through continuous development and close interaction with the community.

In response to MP1st's question about the game's long-term viability, Embark's representative emphasised both the challenges and benefits of continuous development.

"I think every year will probably bring its own unique challenges. The first year definitely had its own - transitioning the team from working on a game behind closed doors to one where our work is evaluated weekly by our harshest critics (and fans) is very different!"

"At the same time, it's also the most enjoyable part of our job. In the next 3-5 years, I see us being here for many seasons, with more players than ever and a version of THE FINALS that just keeps getting better and better," Embark said.

In March, THE FINALS received its sixth season, titled Rising Stars, which includes the continued addition of Team Deathmatch mode to the fast-paced game, new weapons such as the ARN-220 assault rifle and the M134 minigun. The Power Shift mode has also received expanded arenas. Embark Studios is confident that this approach will allow THE FINALS to remain relevant and attractive to players for a long time.
