Just over a week after the release of the atmospheric adventure game South of Midnight, the developers have already released a fresh 1.2.0 update aimed at fixing the key issues that players have encountered. The patch focuses on fixing bugs in boss battles, improving performance in cutscenes, and resolving other technical issues.

Here's What We Know

Patch 1.2.0 focuses primarily on fixing issues related to battles against two important bosses: Tom in Chapter 5 and Molly in Chapter 9. For the former, a bug that could cause the boss to disappear if the player fell into water, as well as a glitch that caused the player to get stuck in a certain point in the arena, have been fixed. Regarding Molly, the bottles used to hit her will now appear correctly in the third phase of the battle.

The new update also addresses issues with Molly's eye being misaligned, Hazel's lack of facial expressions, and Hazel flickering in one of the scenes in Chapter 6. As for the game's crashes, a critical bug that occurred during the transition between Chapters 11 and 12 has been fixed, but only on Xbox Series S. Xbox Series X and PC owners may still experience this issue.

The development team is likely planning to release several more patches in the coming weeks and months, so it's worth keeping an eye out for further bug fix updates.
