The leaked trailer for the second Star Wars Outlaws DLC reveals plot details, and Ubisoft has released a demo of the game
Star Wars Outlaws fans, get ready for new adventures in a galaxy far, far away. A trailer for the next storyline expansion for the game, A Pirate's Fortune, has prematurely appeared on the Internet. The leak not only showed the first footage of the upcoming content but also revealed the estimated release date.
Here's What We Know
According to the information that leaked online before the official premiere scheduled for 18 April as part of Star Wars Celebration, A Pirate's Fortune DLC is expected to be released on 15 May. This will be the second paid story after Wild Card. According to VGC, in the new expansion, players will meet the legendary pirate Hondo Onaka and face Stinger Tash and Rokan raiders inside the tomb of Happy. In addition, the DLC is likely to add cosmetic items inspired by the Skeleton Crew series, including outfits for Nix.
At the same time, Ubisoft made a pleasant surprise by releasing a free demo version of Star Wars Outlaws that will allow players to spend up to three hours in the game. However, it is worth noting that the progress from the demo will not be transferred to the full version of the game.
As a reminder, Star Wars Outlaws was released in August 2024, but the game showed slightly lower than expected sales, which prompted Ubisoft to launch an active campaign to improve the situation.
It is also worth mentioning that Ubisoft has recently officially announced the release of Star Wars Outlaws on Nintendo Switch 2, which, according to Digital Foundry experts, is a "pretty amazing" step. So, despite the initial difficulties, Ubisoft seems to be determined to keep going and is preparing a lot of interesting content for players, both paid and free.
