Hated but Played: Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey each attracted 40 million players
Assassin's Creed franchise is usually criticised for its constant repetition and lack of new ideas, but at the same time it attracts a lot of attention from gamers, which is proved by new information from Ubisoft.
Here's What We Know
French developers reported that two parts of the series attracted 40 million players at once - we are talking about Assassin's Creed Origins (2017) in the setting of ancient Egypt and Assassin's Creed Odyssey (2018), the events of which unfold in ancient Greece.

The figures announced are not the number of copies sold, as these games are available on several services, including Game Pass and Ubisoft+, as well as often participating in free giveaways.
Nevertheless, it's a decent result, but it's unlikely to help Ubisoft survive the worst of the crisis.
