Darth Maul is back: the animated series Maul: Shadow Lord will reveal the dark secrets of the Sith
At Star Wars Celebration Japan, good news was announced for fans of the dark side of the Force. A new animated series dedicated to one of the most charismatic villains in the galaxy, Darth Maul, was officially announced.
Here's What We Know
Visitors were the first to see the trailer of the upcoming series. After the screening, the unchanging voice of Darth Maul, Sam Witwer, came on stage and with the typical Sith persistence shouted: "Show it... again!"
The series, called Maul: Shadow Lord, will be released in 2026.
As for the trailer, at first it resembled a story about a daring robbery, where the characters discussed who could pull off such a serious case. Then Darth Maul himself appears to the characteristic sound of footsteps. It seems that he is looking for a new apprentice and finds him - a Twi'lek locked in a cell.
The visual style of the series is characterised by intense black and red tones, which perfectly matches the image of Darth Maul, and judging by the trailer, the series will have a rather dark and tense tone.
