The Anbernic RG557 handheld console gets a Dimensity 8300 processor, 12GB of RAM and a 5500mAh battery

Chinese company Anbernic has revealed the technical details of the RG 557 handheld console, which is designed mainly to run retro games, but with more comfort than is usual.

Here's What We Know

Previously, it was announced that the Anbernic RG 557 will get a 5.48″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080p. Now the manufacturer has revealed that the chip will be an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 8300 with integrated Mali-G615 MC6 graphics and an active cooling system.

The console is equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. Such hardware capabilities are enough to emulate the PS2 and Nintendo Wii, as well as older NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and PS One.

A 5500 mAh battery will provide up to eight hours of battery life. 27W charging is supported. The device's sticks support Hall technology and feature stylish RGB backlighting.
