Chinese brand Leapmotor, which recently joined the Stellantis Group, has revealed the exterior of its first sedan called B01. In addition, images of the car appeared in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

Here's What We Know

The B01 sedan looks similar to the Leapmotor B10 crossover, with a similar front end: narrow headlights, LED strip and darkened bumper centre element. The side profile has a laconic design, flush integrated door handles and a minimal amount of mouldings. The stern also gets a horizontal LED line connecting the lights.

The model will be available with two powertrain options. For the base version there is an electric motor with 177 hp (132 kW). The top version will get a 214 hp (160 kW) motor. Both use lithium-iron-phosphate batteries manufactured by CATL. The exact battery specifications and range have not yet been disclosed.

One of the main competitive advantages of the new electric car model should be its low price. According to Chinese media reports, the B01 sedan will cost between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan (approximately $13,600 - $20,400).

The Leapmotor B01 will have its public premiere on 23 April at the Shanghai Motor Show.
