Samsung may release a new smartphone with an innovative screen that will stretch vertically.

Here's What We Know

The patent, found by DomoAI and insider @xleaks7, shows that the phone will be compact, but with the ability to expand the screen when needed.

Unlike previous concepts, where the display is horizontal, Samsung's new design features a vertical screen extension. This allows the smartphone to remain compact in your pocket, but turn into a larger and more convenient screen for work or entertainment when needed. According to the diagrams, the phone has thin bezels with a distinct bottom, and the body looks thicker, probably due to the scrolling mechanism.

The camera on the back resembles the dual-lens system seen in the Galaxy Flip 6.

Another feature of this concept is the use of artificial intelligence to improve the interaction with the device. For example, AI can help with real-time translation by splitting the screen into two parts to display two languages simultaneously. This would be much more convenient on a large screen than on a standard smartphone.

This approach could make the use of promoted phones not only an interesting novelty, but also a useful addition to everyday tasks. It remains to be seen whether this concept will become a reality, but the first patent images give hope for a new era of flexible screen smartphones.
