American football fans, get your helmets ready. A reliable insider has shed light on the release date of the long-awaited EA Sports Madden NFL 26. According to billbil-kun, a Dealabs contributor with an impeccable reputation for revealing unannounced details, the new instalment of the EA American football simulator will be released on 14 August. This date coincides with the beginning of NFL preseason games.

Here's What We Know

According to the insider, the game will also receive a Deluxe Edition, owners of which will be able to enjoy early access starting from 11 August. In addition, EA Play subscribers (including Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users) will be able to enjoy a 10-hour trial, which will also become available on 11 August. It is expected that the game will be officially announced this week, and then it will become known on which platforms, apart from PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, it will be released.

The issue of Madden NFL 26 coming to Nintendo Switch 2 is particularly important. Earlier, EA Sports confirmed that the Madden NFL series would eventually appear on the new Nintendo console, which was significant news for fans of American football on Nintendo platforms, as the last game in the series was released on the company's systems 13 years ago - it was Madden NFL 13 for Wii and Wii U in 2012.

After that, EA stopped supporting the Wii U and ignored the original Switch. The official announcement should also reveal EA's plans to release Madden NFL 26 on PS4 and Xbox One, or whether the company has decided to stop supporting last-gen consoles completely, as it has already done with the upcoming F1 25.
