YouTube Music is expanding the way users interact with content by introducing a new lyrics sharing feature.

Here's What We Know

You can now select lines from the lyrics of a song and create a graphic image with the quote in the mobile app. To do this, you need to open the "Text" tab and tap the "Share" button. Then users can select the desired lines, the background of the image and save it or send it to other applications. The final step of creating the image displays the song title, artist name and YouTube Music logo.

Looks like you can now share lyrics!

For now, the feature is available to a limited number of Android users, but it will be rolled out more widely later. The rollout is expected to be faster than the redesign of the playback screen, which was unveiled in November 2024 but has yet to see widespread adoption.

This new feature adds to YouTube Music's previous improvements, including volume adjustment, AI-assisted playlist generation, and the ability to upload your own album artwork.
