Gamefound has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the production of the board game Gothic: A Shadowʼs Quest, which will be a prequel to the events of the first part of the series.

Here's What We Know

Everyone can support the project financially. The authors asked for €50 thousand, but in just a few hours received more than €80 thousand. Of course, the more money the project will raise, the more content the developers will provide.

At the centre of Gothic: A Shadowʼs Quest will be the "Shadows", members of the Old Camp in the Valley of the Mines. They will have to fulfil dangerous tasks, fight monsters and develop their abilities.

The game can be played alone or in co-operative up to five people. And the rules allow the participation of a traditional for tabletop role-playing games game-master.

One session in Gothic: A Shadowʼs Quest will take about 180 minutes, the player will have a choice of 8 character classes, different weapons and magical abilities. In the set, buyers will receive a general map, character cards, challenge cards, figurines of different creatures and so on.

Everyone can find out the latest details of Gothic: A Shadowʼs Queston the Gamefound website.

Sponsors will be able to purchase the novelty at a discount and play it before the official release.
