"Stay tuned": the head of Nintendo of America has hinted that a big game announcement for the Mario franchise could be coming soon
One of the main games in the Nintendo Switch 2 launch line-up will be the racing game Mario Kart World. Of course, the legendary moustachioed plumber, his brother Luigi and other characters from the legendary franchise will appear there, but gamers would like to get not just another spin-off, but a full-fledged new instalment of the Mario franchise. And it looks like that desire is in line with Nintendo's plans.
Here's What We Know
Nintendo's US division president Doug Bowser, whose surname is surprisingly the same as Mario's nemesis, has hinted that a major Mario platformer will eventually come to the Nintendo Switch 2.
He advised fans to "stay tuned" so as not to miss the announcement of the highly anticipated game. Of course, it's odd that such a game wasn't unveiled during Nintendo Switch 2's extensive presentation on 2 April, but it's likely that Nintendo will still announce a new platformer at a major show.
