Samsung may disappoint fans of the Fan Edition line. According to new leaks, the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will not receive a processor upgrade and will retain the same Exynos 2400e chip used in the current Galaxy S24 FE model.

Here's What We Know

The smartphone is expected to be presented in October.

The FE line traditionally offers more affordable versions of Samsung's flagship smartphones with some simplifications. However, the absence of an SoC update can be a significant disadvantage for users who expected a performance boost in the new model.

The information about the Exynos 2400e was found in the device codes with the internal names "r12s" and "r13s", which correspond to the Galaxy S24 FE and S25 FE, respectively. Both smartphones have the same processor designation - "s5e9945", which indicates Exynos 2400e.

This chip is significantly inferior to the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, not to mention the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, so the Galaxy S25 FE may lose out to competitors in terms of speed and energy efficiency.

It is possible that Samsung will change its plans closer to the release. More details about the Galaxy S25 FE are expected closer to the announcement.

Recently, insiders reported that Samsung has postponed the launch of the Galaxy Flip FE. The South Korean media confirmed that the company is currently focused on the release of the flagship Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 models, the mass production of displays for which has already begun. As a result, the Galaxy Flip FE and Samsung's first smartphone that folds three times are now scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.
