Casio releases bright GA-V01 G-Shock in the USA
Casio has officially introduced the GA-V01 G-Shock series of watches to the US market after their debut in China earlier this year.

These bright and futuristic models are available in four colours: metallic silver, matte black, neon yellow, and purple, and the recommended retail price is $140. You can buy the watches on Amazon US or order them directly through the Casio website.
The GA-V01 was designed by Tomohiro Hamaue, who became interested in G-Shock watches in elementary school after seeing the DW-9000 model. The main idea behind the series was to combine the renowned G-Shock durability with a bold design that suits an active lifestyle. The GA-V01 series is designed for those who are involved in extreme sports such as skateboarding.
One of the main features of the GA-V01 is its unique design. Starting with the index bumper, where decorative elements are minimised to emphasise the protective parts of the watch. The spherical mineral crystal provides water resistance to 200 metres (656 feet). The hands, called Shock Release Hands, are magnetically attached to the drive axis, reducing the risk of damage in the event of strong impacts.
The watch also features an LCD screen with contrasting colours, allowing for easy use of functions such as world time in 31 time zones, five daily alarms, a stopwatch and a timer. The watch is powered by a CR2025 battery, which provides up to 10 years of operation.
