Nissan has unveiled one of the most aerodynamic electric sedans - the N7
At the Auto Shanghai 2025 Motor Show, along with the new Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup truck, Nissan unveiled another new product, the N7 electric sedan. This model is developed with Chinese partner Dongfeng and relies on maximum aerodynamic efficiency, which is reflected in both silhouette and technical performance.
Here's What We Know
The N7's aerodynamic drag coefficient Cd is just 0.208 - one of the best among production cars, second only to the Mercedes-Benz EQS (0.202). However, as it often happens in the pursuit of perfect streamlining, the design of the car turned out to be rather restrained and, perhaps, not too expressive.
The interior of the novelty is designed in a minimalist style. The centrepiece is a 15.6-inch tablet with the multimedia system interface, located next to the digital dashboard. The almost complete absence of physical buttons can be controversial, as with the exception of the controls on the steering wheel, all actions have to be performed via touch-sensitive surfaces.
The front seats are equipped with Intelligent Position Adjustment using data from 49 sensors. A 12-point massager is integrated, while the centre armrest conceals a mini fridge capable of cooling drinks to -6°C or heating them to 55°C.
The model has a 400-volt architecture and can be equipped with one of two batteries: 58 and 73 kW∙h. Depending on the configuration, power output ranges from 218 to 272 hp (160-200 kW). Maximum range with the larger battery is claimed to be 635 kilometres on the Chinese CLTC cycle.
