Every few years, Google changes the YouTube interface and it looks like it's about to happen again.

Here's What We Know

Journalists of the Android Authority portal noticed that YouTube began testing a new interface in the web version of the video hosting.

Controls have become semi-transparent and made in the form of capsules, and the space between them will be free. The playback bar has become dark and the volume slider has moved to the right side. The authors of Android Authority believe that users will no longer be able to adjust the volume with the mouse wheel or by pressing arrows on the keyboard.

So far, the innovations can be evaluated by individual users. When the new YouTube interface design will become widely available is still unknown, it will probably happen during 2025.
