Players who are interested in the upcoming relaunch of Bungie's shooter Marathon should get ready for a team game. Game director Joe Ziegler has officially reiterated that the game will not have a separate solo mode at launch.

Here's What We Know

"We'd have to redesign a lot of aspects of the game - the maps, the loot pool, and the balance of the runners - for that mode," Ziegler explained.

We are currently developing a trio-centric game

This statement may disappoint players who prefer to venture into the dangerous world of Marathon on their own. Ziegler did not rule out the possibility of a solo mode in the future, but stressed that at launch, the developers are focused on creating a balanced and exciting experience for team play. So, if you plan to explore the dangerous ruins with other runners, get your team ready - lone heroes are not expected to be in Marathon at launch.

Of course, you can go play alone, but you'll have to fight against teams, which makes it very difficult.

Marathon will be released on 23 September on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
