The main theme of the trailer is Cosmic Realm, a new location that is visually and aesthetically reminiscent of the works of Howard P. Lovecraft and has never appeared in the DOOM series.
The rulers of the Space Kingdom made an alliance with Hell, which resulted in the appearance of horrible monsters that combine the features of both factions. For example, the authors showed a special kind of Cacodemon, which has deadly tentacles, and a huge Space Baron not only received a pair of blades instead of hands, but also can perform psionic attacks at a distance.
The alliance with Hell has automatically made the Space Kingdom an enemy of Doom Slayer, and he will have no choice but to unleash his full power upon it.
DOOM: The Dark Ages game director Hugo Martin reminded that there will be 22 levels in the shooter, some of which are related to the Space Kingdom.
