It's a success! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 RPG sales exceeded 500 thousand copies in just 24 hours
Role-playing game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released on 24 April and became the most highly appreciated novelty of 2025. It impressed critics and gamers with an interesting story, excellent gameplay and great visual style. The game received 92 points on Metacritic and, of course, such an assessment could not but affect sales.
Here's What We Know
French studio Sandfall Interactive reported that its debut game, made in one of the most niche and hard-to-sell genres, was bought more than 500 thousand times in the first day.
A milestone for us, reached sooner than we'd ever imagined.

This result is especially important given that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on Game Pass, so the game's actual audience is much larger than the announced figure.
It is glad that the developers' bold ideas were highly appreciated by the audience and Sandfall Interactive can please us with even better games in the future.
The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
