Oppo shows teaser of Enco Clip headphones ahead of May launch
Oppo is planning a big announcement in May: along with the new Reno 14 series of smartphones, the company will present Oppo Enco Clip wireless headphones. This was announced by Qiao Jiadong, Product Director of Oppo Smart Ecosystem, who published the first teaser of the new product.
Here's What We Know
The teaser shows a sketch of the headphones, which are shaped like small beans. According to rumours, the new product will be called Enco Clip in the Chinese market, but its technical characteristics remain a secret.
Last year, Oppo unveiled the Reno 12 in China on 23 May, so it is likely that the Reno 14 will be released in the second half of May, around the same time.
The Reno 14 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED screen, while the Reno 14 Pro will have a larger 6.83-inch OLED display. Both devices will have a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Performance will be driven by the new Dimensity 8350 chip paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The 6000 mAh batteries will support 80W fast charging.

Cameras also promise to be the strengths of the series: a 50 megapixel selfie camera, and a triple camera setup with a 50 megapixel main module with optical stabilisation, an 8 megapixel wide-angle module, and a 50 megapixel telephoto module (Samsung JN5). In the Pro version, the telephoto lens will be replaced with a periscope lens. The starting price is 3,299 yuan (~US$450).
