Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset back in October last year, so one would expect its successor, tentatively called Elite 2, to debut in October this year. However, according to rumours from China, the announcement of the new product will take place at the end of September.

Here's What We Know

In October, the first devices based on Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will appear on the market, probably in China first.

Earlier, the chipset's AnTuTu test result was leaked, indicating a significant improvement in performance compared to its predecessor. According to the information, the GPU of the new chipset will be 30% faster and the CPU will be 25% more efficient than the original 8 Elite. This suggests that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 could be an important upgrade.

The expected earlier release of this model will give Android manufacturers the opportunity to compete directly with the new iPhone 17 line, which is expected to be released in September. The early release of the new platform could help boost sales of Android devices at the end of the year, during the peak holiday season.

Qualcomm recently unveiled the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip for premium smartphones. The new chipset from Qualcomm will offer impressive performance at a reasonable price - it is 31% more efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and graphics performance has increased by 49%. Energy efficiency has been improved by 39%.
