Rumours that Microsoft is developing its own controller with adaptive triggers and tactile feedback similar to the PS5's DualSense have been circulating for a long time. Back in 2021, the head of Xbox Phil Spencer
highly praised the gamepad from Sony and expressed hope that his team will be able to release a similar gadget.

Judging by the new information, the American giant is developing not one, but three controllers!

Here's What We Know

Authoritative insider eXtas1s revealed that Microsoft is currently in the process of prototyping three new variants of the Xbox controller. According to his sources, each of the upcoming controllers will offer a unique set of features.

The Xbox Elite 3:

  • Offers improved connectivity;
  • improved recoil;
  • features adjustable triggers with haptic feedback, with a focus on recoil.

Controller 2:

  • Has an LED/static panel;
  • provides improved Bluetooth connectivity to PC and console;
  • offers a direct connection to xCloud to significantly reduce latency.

Controller 3 (codename Sebile):

  • provides full haptic feedback;
  • has additional vibration to alert players to problems with the controller (poor connection or lag);
  • includes a dedicated button to switch between Bluetooth and xCloud options.

It is not yet known at what stage of readiness the said gadgets are and when they will go on sale, but there is little doubt that they do exist.
