Xiaomi 16 will get a very large battery in a compact 6.3-inch body, says an insider
Xiaomi is already gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 16 series of smartphones, which promises to be the world's first devices based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor.

According to a new leak from whistleblower Smart Pikachu, the Xiaomi 16 will feature a flat 6.3-inch OLED display with ultra-thin bezels and will run HyperOS 3.0, built on top of Android 16. The device will also get a 50 MP triple main camera and a thin, lightweight body.
However, the standout feature of the Xiaomi 16 will be the largest battery ever installed in a smartphone with a display of this size. While the exact capacity of the battery has not been disclosed, it is expected to surpass the 6,260 mAh battery that rival OnePlus 13T has. It was previously reported that the battery could go as high as 7,000 mAh, which would be a significant improvement in battery life.
There are also reports that the Xiaomi 16 will offer an improved photography experience with a periscopic telephoto lens replacing the standard telephoto lens. The Xiaomi 16 series is expected to debut in October 2025.
