Meta presents Meta AI app: a personal assistant with artificial intelligence
Meta has officially launched the first standalone Meta AI app, allowing users to interact with artificial intelligence not only on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger but also through a special app.

The app is based on Llama 4 and is designed for live voice communication with artificial intelligence.
Meta AI aims to become a personal assistant: after installation, the app asks for basic information about the user to provide more accurate and relevant answers. Meta notes that communication with the assistant should be "natural" and "simple".
Meta AI voice functions can be used in the background while performing other tasks. In addition to voice functions, the app supports image generation and editing, both through text and voice.
The assistant can also search for information on the Internet, recommend products, or help with research. For convenience, Meta has added a "conversation starter" that can suggest ideas for queries.
The company uses its experience in social media personalisation to improve Meta AI: the assistant remembers facts about users, analyses their preferences and activity on Facebook or Instagram to better tailor responses.
The Discover feed is also available, where you can view and use queries from other users, which helps to better understand the capabilities of AI.
The app is already available for download on iOS and Android in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
