The Sony Xperia 10 VII is likely to come out later than previous models, with a release date of October 2025.

Here's What We Know

According to rumours, the new Xperia 10 VII may be moved to the upper mid-range, making it more premium than previous models.

Previous models such as the Xperia 10 V and 10 VI were usually released in June, but the Xperia 10 VII seems to be getting a new launch date of October. According to Esato forum user Spektykles and a Reddit post by u/Aquis_GN, this is not just a change in the schedule. Sony is probably preparing significant updates for this model.

The Xperia 10 VII should get a more powerful chipset, probably the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Mobile Platform SoC, as well as an improved camera.

One of the most interesting rumours was posted in a Facebook group of Sony fans from Vietnam: they claim that the October launch of the Xperia 10 VII will move the smartphone into the higher mid-range category. In this case, the price could rise by more than £500 (~$671), which would indicate a change in its market positioning.

This increased price range and improved performance could also indicate the end of the Xperia 5 line, with Sony combining the features of the 10 and 5 series into one model. The Xperia 10 VII could be a more powerful device offering more features at a competitive price.

According to Sumaho Digest, the Xperia 10 VII retains a 6.1-inch FHD+ screen, similar to its predecessors. However, unlike previous models, the new smartphone will have an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
