Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the release of the new Warbound (analogue of Battle Pass) next week, and soon after that, we will have even more exciting news. In a short message posted on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit, the developers have sent an important message to the community.
Here's What We Know
"Greetings, Helldivers! Just a quick update from us. We know it's been a while since our last update, but don't worry - we're preparing something special! You may have noticed that the interval between our big updates is a little longer this time. But we are happy to announce that we will be announcing our next Warbound on 8 May, with more exciting news to come shortly after. We're not going to be too coy about revealing what that next Warbound might be, but you'll be hearing more from us soon. Until then, keep your backs straight, your boots shined, and your uniforms in tip-top condition, Guildriders. You'll need it for the battle ahead."
Although players were expecting an update today, all news has been postponed to next week and beyond. Nevertheless, the only teaser image has already given players a small clue to think about. One user pointed out that the Super Earth flag looks a little "pointy", indicating a spike on top and a handle on the tree. Could this be the armed flag of Super-Earth, ready to spread democracy with its sharp end across the galaxy?
The simplest assumption is that this is a new stratagem, perhaps a support item designed to bolster the efforts of the Guardians. "A flag with a buff across the region? Yes please!" wrote one user. "
Given Arrowhead's hint that our gear will be "needed" for the upcoming battle, it looks like Helldivers 2 studio is preparing something big for the next update and subsequent events. We will find out what awaits us soon.
