Xiaomi starts testing Android 16 based on HyperOS for new models

Xiaomi has begun to gradually expand the testing programme for its new HyperOS, based on Android 16, and is now adding support for 16 more devices. The update covers not only smartphones but also tablets and foldable devices.

Here's What We Know

The current HyperOS test version is 2.0.250428.1 and is available for flagship devices. However, Xiaomi does not disclose details about the changes or new features that will appear in the update, and does not indicate how similar this version is to Google's Android 16 beta.

Among the devices receiving the update are the Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, POCO F7 Ultra, and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet. Testing is underway in several regions, including China, Europe, India, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
