The open beta testing of the dynamic online shooter Splitgate 2 will start in May

Studio 1047 Games announced open beta testing of Splitgate 2 network shooter, which is often called a mixture of Halo and Portal: from the former the game has fast gameplay and general futuristic setting, and the famous puzzle game from Valve reminds of the constant use of a device that opens portals and allows you to instantly move around the map.

Here's What We Know

A special teaser informs that testing will start on 22 May on PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One, as well as on PC on Steam and EGS.

Gamers will be offered:

• more than 25 weapons, including the all-new Borealis energy carbine;
• more than 15 maps, including the huge new 24-player maps Drought and Fracture;
• more than 10 modes, including the fan-favourite Takedown mode, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can be revived.

Splitgate 2 is expected to release in 2025 on PC (Steam, EGS), PlayStation and Xbox.
