Alienware has officially launched its new AW3425DW curved gaming monitor in the US with a 34.2-inch QD-OLED panel, 3440×1440 pixels and 21:9 aspect ratio. Thanks to the 1800R curvature, the device provides a better immersive experience when playing games and watching content.

Here's What We Know

The monitor is equipped with an updated second-generation QD-OLED panel with a graphene heat sink that improves thermal efficiency and protects against burn-in. The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make the model particularly attractive to gamers. It supports Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync technologies for smooth, tear-free images.

The AW3425DW also supports HDR content with up to 1000 nits of peak brightness in a 3% window, and a normal SDR brightness of 250 nits. The panel covers the DCI-P3 colour space and features 10-bit colour depth.

The ports include two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB hub with Type-A, Type-B and USB-C connectors (power up to 15W). All of them support full-resolution image output at 240Hz.

The design is in the style of the Alienware AW30 with Interstellar Indigo colour and AlienFX backlighting, which can be adjusted via the proprietary Command Centre software. The anti-reflective coating maintains colour accuracy even in bright light.

Alienware AW3425DW costs $799.99 in the US, which is cheaper than in China ($900). The new product is available only on the official Dell website. Information on global availability has not yet been announced.
