Toyota Camry 2026 for the USA: Nightshade version and new Dark Cosmos body colour
Toyota has unveiled an updated version of the 2026 model year Camry sedan in the United States. The main change is the new Nightshade Edition, based on the SE and XSE packages, but with its own original design solutions.
Here's What We Know
Externally, the Nightshade Edition can be identified by Midnight Black Metallic accents on the grille, mirrors, door handles and rear spoiler. The same style is used for the air intakes, canards and diffuser. Completing the image are black 19-inch discs and a dark emblem. These elements look particularly effective in combination with Ice Cap (white) or Supersonic Red (rich red) paint.
The interior is also in a dark palette, with SofTex seats, aluminium pedal pads and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with gearshift paddles. Equipment includes a 7-inch digital dashboard, 8-inch multimedia display and wireless smartphone charging.
Under the bonnet is the familiar hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.5-litre petrol engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. In front-wheel drive configuration, it develops 225bhp, while with all-wheel drive (AWD), due to an additional electric motor on the rear axle, power rises to 232bhp. The suspension settings of the Nightshade version have been changed in favour of a more sporty behaviour.
Other than the Nightshade, the 2026 model generally retains the same lineup. Among the new options is the Dark Cosmos body colour, described as "hazy blue with a warm glow". It will be available on the SE, XLE and XSE trims.
The Toyota Camry 2026 will go on sale in the US in the summer. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but for guidance, the current model is priced from $28,700 (excluding the $1,135 delivery charge).
