The global trend of games and gaming platforms getting more expensive continues and today another industry giant has announced that they are raising the prices of their devices.

Here's What We Know

Microsoft has announced that the price of Xbox consoles and accessories for them will be increased: the base Series S console has gone up in price from $299 to $379, and the Series X from $499 to $599, while the price of accessories for people with disabilities (adaptive gamepad) will not be increased.

  • Xbox Series S (512GB) - $379.99;
  • Xbox Series X (1TB) - $599.99;
  • Xbox Series S (1 TB) - $429.99;
  • Xbox Series X Digital - $549.99;
  • Xbox Series X 2 TB Galaxy Black - $729.99;
  • Xbox Wireless Gamepad - $64.99;
  • Xbox Wireless Headset - $119.99.

The cost of flagship games for Xbox will increase from $70 to $80, but that will happen closer to the end of the year. Xbox Game Pass rates will not change.

Headphones will only go up in price in the US and Canada, with the rest of the changes affecting all markets.

We understand that these are complex changes, and they were made with market conditions and rising development costs in mind.
