Threads is growing rapidly in popularity, with the platform from Meta having 350 million monthly users
The founder and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg within the framework of communication with investors on the results of the report for the first quarter of 2025 reported about the dynamic growth of the number of users of the Threads platform, which is the direct and most successful competitor of Twitter/X.
Here's What We Know
Zuckerberg disclosed that the number of monthly users of Threads has exceeded 350 million, noting that the rate of audience growth is also increasing: if in the fourth quarter of 2024 Threads attracted 20 million new users, in the first quarter of 2025 their number reached 30 million, which is almost equal to the total number of users of a similar and actively developing social network Bluesky - it involves about 35 million people.
Despite the success of Threads, it is still far behind the popularity of platform X, which belongs to Elon Musk - it is accessed by about 600 million people a month. But we can't ignore the overall success of Meta's platforms - nearly 3.4 billion users visit Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads and WhatsApp every day.
