The Defence Procurement Agency reported an increase in the volume of serial production of ground vehicles, especially from the private sector, which for the first time has joined defence contracts on a large scale.

Here's What We Know

Serhiy Prolubshchikov, Head of the Ground Vehicle Office of the Defence Production Association, said this during a briefing at the Ministry of Defence, which was attended by a Militarny correspondent. According to him, special attention is paid to small private companies that are just starting to cooperate with the state and are provided with practical assistance in setting up production processes and meeting standards.

As an example of the growth rate, Prolubshchikov cited statistics: while last year about 600 ground robotic systems were delivered, this year about 8,000 units have already been contracted. He emphasised that this trend continues to grow.

The employees of the ZPO visit enterprises to check the technological processes, quality of products and production capacities. This allows them not only to control quality but also to provide manufacturers with recommendations for improving efficiency.

In Ukraine, more than 200 companies are currently engaged in the development and production of ground robotic systems. Of these, more than 40 have already received official codification, which allows them to integrate their products into the Armed Forces supply system.
