Half-Life 3 is almost ready: insider reveals when the announcement and release of the long-awaited game will take place
There is already little doubt that Valve is working on Half-Life 3 and may actually introduce in 2025 a new part of the series, which fans have been waiting for 16 years - just remember the mysterious video from actor Mike Shapiro, who directly hinted at the fact that Half-Life fans are in for some sensational news this year.
Authoritative insider and blogger Tyler McVicker regularly shares interesting (but not always reliable) information about Valve's plans, especially when it comes to Half-Life 3. In the latest episode of his podcast he shared some encouraging information.
Here's What We Know
McVicker is confident that Half-Life 3 will be announced in the summer of 2025, with a release scheduled for this coming winter.
According to his information, the game is at an advanced stage of testing, currently all fragments are being optimised, but the authors have not yet decided on the final look of some mechanics.
The insider emphasised that Half-Life 3 is not a virtual reality game like Half-Life Alyx, and that it "can already be played from start to finish".
It's possible that gamers will witness the landmark announcement of Half-Life 3 at one of the summer shows, such as the opening ceremony of Summer Game Fest.
